Krantz Flute Pages: the best source of flute information on
the Internet. This site has tons of information, advice, the
FLUTE e-mail discussion group, links to sites of famous flutists,
and much more.
The
National Flute Association: the largest flute organization in the
world with over 5,500 members. It provides resources, a quarterly
magazine, and an annual convention. The NFA is open to flute
professionals, students, adult amateurs and all flute enthusiasts.
PracticeSpot: a site dedicated to helping music students learn
more effectively. It has articles and practice tips for
musicians at all levels. My flute students can contact me to
subscribe their very own low-cost web page to track their practicing
and progress.
SmartMusic: fantastic practice software that allows
you to practice with piano accompaniment in your own home.
MusicTheory.net:
free lessons and practice for beginning to intermediate music reading,
music theory, and ear training.
Composer dates: a thorough
list of birth and death dates of most famous composers.
Fingering
chart: a basic fingering chart, as well as alternative fingerings,
piccolo fingerings, and trill fingerings.
Music
dictionary: includes definitions, visual examples, and pronunciations
of musical terms.
Flute World: a good place online to buy sheet
music and accessories.
